The 5 Simple Steps

What does Branding mean?

Branding is all about YOU

  • Your passions
  • Your strengths
  • Your experience
  • All about who you are, what you do
  • Know, Like, Trust

This kind of branding is about getting YOUR name out there so that people can learn more about who you are so that they can decide to do business with you.  Think of this stage as creating a home for you online, a place where visitors can come and relax and get to know you.

Your Domain Name

  • Recommend you register your name ie (
  • Options:; or
  • Register at, or directly at GVO

Your domain name is all about you as well, this is not about your niche, your hobby or even your business, yet it is.  You will connect people to your niche, your hobby and even your business through your posts and the links you can share on your personal blog.

This is your center point from which all else branches off.

Domain Hosting and WordPress

Blog Posts and Videos

Topics to write about

  • Tools and resources you are using
  • Hobby’s you have
  • Things you are passionate about
  • Things you are learning

Creating posts is easier than you think when you are writing about things you are doing and things you love.  People are interested to hear about your experiences, whether you are just starting or not, you still have things to share.  This is how people get to know more about you and what you do.

Recording Video

  • Summary of your blog post
  • Speak from the heart
  • Include a call to action

Recording a video is easier than you believe, trust me.  You don’t need to be an actor to create videos that people will watch.  Your video is simply a summary of your post and an invitation to take action.  Here is a sample script I might use for this blog post you are reading right now:

Hello, Janet Legere here.  Thank you for visiting my website.  I’ve written a blog post today that outlines the 5 steps to branding you and I invite you to read my post, watch the recorded Webinar and  leave your comments at the bottom.  If you really like what you see, click the Facebook like button too.   Thanks again for stopping by, I look forward to reading your comments.

Recording a video is easier than you think.  Simply get in front of your Webcam, pull up your script, click RECORD, SPEAK then click RECORD to stop … POOF your first video.

Tip:  Comb your hair, put a nice top on and SMILE!  You are perfect as you are!

Who Reads Your Blog

Now that you have a blog and you are posting, you need to get people to read it.  Here are a few tips on getting traffic to your new Blog post.

Social Networks

  • Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Sokule, etc
  • Share your blog posts and request feedback
  • Ask permission to share your blog link

Invite Credit List members

Sending an invitation rather than an ad will return a good response.

Invite your Skype and messenger contacts

Permission based marketing means asking your contacts permission before sending a link and instant message programs like Skype are no different.  Always ask your contacts permission before including your link.

Send it to your subscribers

Your subscribers will be ready to read your posts when you continue to offer value and interest to your readers.  This is one place you don’t need to ask permission because they already gave you permission when they subscribed to your list.

Funded Systems and Downline Builders

Funded systems and downline builders hold a wealth of prospects for you.  People who come through these systems are active and listening.  A simple request to comment on your post will bring great results.

How Blogging Builds Your Brand

Your blog is like your “home”. It’s where visitors get to know, like and trust you.
This creates long term customers and repeat buyers and will attract the right people to your business
